Your Trick Star Champion Award works the same as the previous three Trick Star awards, and you apply in the same way.
Teach and practice your tricks with your dog.
Record your video. You can record each trick individually, and clips can be edited together.

To earn your Trick Dog Champion Award, you need to successfully meet all of the criteria for each of these five categories.​

​Behaviour Chains​​​​​​​​​​
Give your dog just one cue to perform a behaviour chain trick.
Two different behaviour chains are required.
Example: Roll up in a blanket, basketball, tidy toys, get litter and put it in a bin.
Agility runs do not count as a behaviour chain trick!

Criteria
You may only give your cue once for each trick.
Each trick can be performed and videoed separately; you do not need to perform both in one clip.
You and your dog must be in the video clips at all times.

Body Awareness
This section will test your dog's body awareness and coordination. You may choose two tricks from the following...​

Your dog backs up 2 meters away from you

Skateboard, two feet or four feet acceptable

Push a shopping trolly or pram for five steps

Place feet on four Paw Pods

Reverse leg weaves
Criteria
For each of these tricks, your dog should begin in a stationary position until they are cued to begin.
You may only give your cue once for each trick.
Each trick can be performed and videoed separately.
You and your dog must be in the video clips at all times.

Polished Tricks

Demonstrate two of your best tricks. tidied to a very high standard.

An example would be leg weaves with your back straight, looking forward, and your hands behind your back!

Distance Work
​Send your dog away from you to a raised platform or mat at a distance of 3 meters.
While in position on the platform or mat, have your dog perform any four behaviours without leaving their place.

Criteria
You must remain at least 3 meters from your dog.
Your dog must remain on the platform or mat until all four tricks are complete.
Your dog must remain focused on you until the final trick is performed.
You and your dog must be in the video clips at all times.

Clever Clogs
Index Cards
When you show your dog a card or piece of paper with a word or picture on it, your dog must perform a trick. Repeat with a total of three different tricks.
Yes/No
Your dog responds to one question with a YES or NO answer. How he answers is up to you!
Numbers
Your dog answers one numbers question. They could bark the answer or step on a card with a number on it; again, it's up to you to decide.
Criteria - Index Cards
Cards must be shown in succession and in one unedited clip.
You must not speak throughout the exercise.
Any extra clues you are giving your dog must be very subtle and unnoticeable to the untrained eye!
You and your dog must be in the video clips at all times.
Criteria - Yes/No
You must ask your dog the question only once.
Your dog can respond by stepping on a talking button, nose touching, or paw touching a yes or no card, or any other similar way of responding.

Criteria - Numbers
Your dog answers one number question.
Any extra clues you give your dog must be very subtle and unnoticeable to the untrained eye!
